One of the most meaningful ways you can help vulnerable Australian children is through a gift in your Will, also known as a bequest.

A bequest is more than a gift. It’s a legacy of safety, healing and hope for children affected by abuse, neglect and family violence.

Your generosity can help provide specialist trauma therapy and support to help children heal, rebuild trust and feel safe.

Find peace of mind knowing your values and commitment to protecting children will live on beyond your lifetime.

One decision today can make a life-changing difference for children for years to come.

Your legacy in action

For more than 40 years, our generous supporters have helped children impacted by abuse, neglect and family violence find safety, healing and hope.

Because of this support, countless children have overcome trauma and built brighter futures.

Today, new challenges continue to place children at risk. That’s why this vital work must continue.

A gift in your Will can help ensure children are protected for generations to come.

Your legacy could help:

  • Provide specialist therapy for children recovering from trauma.
  • Help parents and carers access support
  • Prevent abuse before it occurs by strengthening child safeguarding
  • Advance research, advocacy and innovation to create safer childhoods for future generations.

Your bequest could make a life-changing difference for a child like Matt.

Matt was exposed to violence, drug, and alcohol abuse and neglect as a small child.

At eight years old he witnessed his father’s violent behaviour toward his mother and sisters. He knew that what he was seeing was wrong, but he didn’t have the words to speak out. Matt withdrew. When he did interact, his behaviour appeared violent and aggressive.

When we first met Matt, he demonstrated a profound sense of disconnection. It took time to gain his confidence. Eventually he told us that he had never felt safe.

After years of support and specialist therapy from our team, Matt began to understand his behaviours. He became a much gentler, composed teenager. His sense of humour started to shine through.

Today, Matt and his carer Elisabeth share a strong, loving bond and Matt sets a wonderful example for his younger siblings to look up to.
