There are over 530,000 reports of child abuse each year in Australia*. Relationships that have broken down, leaving children and young people in need of help.

Just as strong and connected relationships are needed to help children grow and thrive, so too, are corporate partnerships fundamental to the cultural and economic wellbeing of organisations like ours, seeking to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Partnerships in action

Only have a few minutes to check out how we work with our partners? Watch the video below to hear some of our corporate partners talk about the work they’ve done with us.

Be inspired by some of our corporate partnerships

Strategic partnerships ensure we can harness a collective power, to help abused children and young people heal from trauma.

As a corporate partner, you can help make a positive impact on children and young people by collaborating with us in a number of ways. This can include ideas such as cause-related marketing campaigns, funding specific programs or projects, eCommerce initiatives, micro-donations, matching employee donations, providing in-kind or pro bono support, volunteering staff time and skills, workplace giving and more.

Below are some examples of the work our corporate partners have done to help provide vital support to vulnerable children and young people.

Target

Target Australia and Australian Childhood Foundation teamed up to raise funds for our Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) program.

For Mother’s Day and Christmas in 2022, Target created campaigns that involved the sale of specially designed products with a donation token attached. Target staff also worked together in packing care packages for BUGK participants.

Early 2023, Target generously gave their time and resources to makeover our Darwin counselling spaces. The now revitalised location is a warm and inviting space, filled with new furniture, toys, art and soothing colours. With more to come in the year, this partnership’s impact has been invaluable for the children and young people we work with.

Victoria Racing Club (VRC)

Australian Childhood Foundation was named VRC’s Pin & Win charity partner for 2022 and 2023. The Pin & Win program, established in 1995, enables charities to raise funds through the sale of souvenir pins, with all profits going towards the Foundation’s work.

Funds raised go towards the National Trauma Recovery Program, which supports children and young people through specialist care and extends support to the important people that form circles of care around them.

In 2022, the Pin & Win program raised over $493,000 for the Foundation.

GPT

GPT has partnered with the Foundation on numerous activities over the years. Most notable was the Big Love Light Walk in October 2019.

Big Love Light was a major public event that had the participants walk along Melbourne’s Yarra River in the CBD in pursuit to defend children from family violence and abuse.

Over 300 participants walked the streets of Melbourne City in solidarity, holding sparkling love lights, towards the walk finish point at Melbourne Central’s Shot Tower for the after-party celebration.

Since Big Love Light, GPT has held activations at the Highpoint location and have supported the Foundation through other partnerships such as Victoria Racing Club (VRC).

“We support credible causes with long term impact, focusing on youth at risk, mental health, homelessness, and child wellbeing. We’re privileged to raise awareness around the importance of childhood and preventing family violence.” Jaclyn Rowan, The GPT Foundation

Yiayia Next Door

Daniel and Luke Mancuso, founders of Yiayia Next Door, have been vocal supporters of the Foundation for the past 5 years.

In 2022, Yiayia Next Door released a cookbook featuring Yiayia’s unique recipes, with a percentage of the sales being donated to the Foundation. They also collaborated with Messina to create a special gelato flavour, with proceeds also benefiting the Foundation.

With more exciting activities in the pipeline, we look forward to continuing our work with Luke and Daniel.

If you’re wanting to cook up a storm, 50% of profits from all merch sales on the Yiayia Next Door website come to the Foundation.

Myer

Australian Childhood Foundation and Myer had a two year successful partnership with the funds raised going towards our Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) program.

Myer raised funds through different initiatives and provided many opportunities to increase awareness of our work in the community.

“It is wonderful to see the impact that Myer Community Fund contribution has made on the Bringing Up Great Kids program, and subsequently the vulnerable women and children who have and will continue to benefit from the program. And humbling to have played a part in that. Importantly, thank you for all that you do, and everyone in the broader team at Australian Childhood Foundation. The Body Shop

The Body Shop partnered with Australian Childhood Foundation on the Healing Hearts Project.

The funds raised went towards developing a set of four therapeutic sensory dolls to support childrent to grow and recover from abuse and family violence.
