"…there is a need for business and community groups to offer abused children opportunities so the abuse does not define their childhood. Any reform of responses to child abuse must be prevention-oriented and must be shared between governments, business and the community..."
Mr Michael Weber - Chairperson,
Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Neglect, USA

The Australian Childhood Foundation has identified the need to develop key corporate partnerships in order to achieve its aim to prevent child abuse and effectively reduce the harm it causes to children.

We have continued to be recognised as a responsible organisation with a creative and innovative reputation for trying to solve the problem of child abuse in the community permanently. Our emphasis on communicating supportive messages about the value of children in the "Every Child is Important Campaign" is an example of this strategy.

A partnership with the Australian Childhood Foundation provides small and large businesses with a positive profile with a number of key target audiences in the community, including children, families, health and welfare professionals, and government.

Research undertaken by Quantum Market Research has shown that 71% of Australians will support companies that resource efforts to prevent child abuse.

It is important to note that companies such as Microsoft and British Telecom have adopted the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) in the UK as their charitable partner with great success.

Already, the Australian Childhood Foundation has a number of important corporate partners who support our work. Click here to read about them and their role with the Foundation.

To this end, the Australian Childhood Foundation has earmarked a number of projects which can be linked to corporate partners who are willing to support our efforts to assist vulnerable children and celebrate the importance of childhood.

You can become involved as a corporate partner by emailing Ruth Lancaster, our National Marketing Manager for a Corporate Partnership Pack on rlancaster@childhood.org.au or contact us on (03) 9874 3922.

Your enquiry will be treated in confidence.
