There are over 530,000 reports of child abuse each year in Australia*. Relationships that have broken down, leaving children and young people in need of help.

Just as strong and connected relationships are needed to help children grow and thrive, so too, are corporate partnerships fundamental to the cultural and economic wellbeing of organisations like ours, seeking to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Partnerships in action

Only have a few minutes to check out how we work with our partners? Watch the video below to hear some of our corporate partners talk about the work they’ve done with us.

Be inspired by some of our corporate partnerships

Strategic partnerships ensure we can harness a collective power, to help abused children and young people heal from trauma.

As a corporate partner, you can help make a positive impact on children and young people by collaborating with us in a number of ways. This can include ideas such as cause-related marketing campaigns, funding specific programs or projects, eCommerce initiatives, providing in-kind or pro bono support, your team volunteering their time and skills on a project, workplace giving and more.

Below are some examples highlighting the amazing work we have done in partnership with current and past partners to help provide vital support to vulnerable children and young people.

Target

Our major partner Target Australia are committed to supporting programs that enable women and their children to be safe, strong, and healthy.

Target raises funds to support our Bringing Up Great Kids (BUGK) program which reaches at-risk parents, supporting them in developing mindful and reflective approaches with the children in their care.

On Mother’s Day and Christmas, Target has created beautiful campaigns that involve the sale of specially designed products with a donation token attached.

Target head office and store teams from around the country have also volunteered many hours of their time on projects. These have included packing curated Target product care packages for parents accessing our programs. In early 2023, the Target team made over our Darwin counselling spaces. The now revitalised spaces are warm and inviting, filled with new furniture, toys, art and soothing colours. With more to come in the year, this partnership’s impact has been invaluable for the children and young people we work with.

Victoria Racing Club (VRC)

Australian Childhood Foundation was named VRC’s Pin & Win charity partner for 2022 and 2023. The Pin & Win program, established in 1995, enables charities to raise funds through the sale of souvenir pins, with all profits going towards the Foundation’s work.

Funds raised go towards the National Trauma Recovery Program, which supports children and young people through specialist care and extends support to the important people that form circles of care around them.

In 2022, the Pin & Win program raised over $493,000 for the Foundation.

The GPT Group

The GPT Group (GPT) have been a long-time partner of the Foundation and has leveraged its shopping centre and office tower assets to shine a light on our work over many years now. Most notable was the Big Love Light Walk in October 2019.

Big Love Light was a major public event, where participants walked through Melbourne’s CBD to celebrate childhood.

Over 300 participants walked the streets of Melbourne City in solidarity, holding sparkling love lights, towards the walk finish point at Melbourne Central’s Shot Tower for an after-party celebration.

Since Big Love Light, GPT has held activations at the Highpoint and Melbourne Central shopping centres and has supported the Foundation through volunteering with the VRC Pin and Win fundraising campaign.

“We support credible causes with long-term impact, focusing on youth at risk, mental health, homelessness, and child wellbeing. We’re privileged to raise awareness around the importance of childhood and preventing family violence.” Jaclyn Rowan, The GPT Foundation

YiaYia Next Door

Daniel and Luke Mancuso, founders of Yiayia Next Door, have been vocal supporters of the Foundation for the past five years.

In 2022, Yiayia Next Door released a cookbook featuring Yiayia’s unique recipes, with a percentage of the sales being donated to the Foundation. They also collaborated with Messina to create a special gelato flavour, with proceeds also benefiting the Foundation.

With more exciting activities in the pipeline, we look forward to continuing our work with Luke and Daniel.

If you’re wanting to cook up a storm, 50% of profits from all merch sales on the Yiayia Next Door website come to the Foundation.

The Body Shop

In 2016 The Body Shop partnered with Australian Childhood Foundation on the Healing Hearts Project.

This 12 month partnership raised funds in store where $3 from every sale of their Almond Milk & Honey Body Lotion was donated to the Foundation. They also hosted various activations in-store across the year to significantly improve the visibility of our work in the community.

The funds raised went towards developing a set of therapeutic sensory dolls to support children to grow and recover from abuse and family violence.

Let’s chat partnerships

Partnerships ensure we can harness a collective power to help abused children heal and change. The social issue we face is big and complex, and we can’t solve it alone. We need the community to stand with us. By becoming a corporate partner, you can play a critical role in helping to drive the change and support some of our most vulnerable children need.
